Koffee With Karan’s debutants Tiger Shroff and Jackie Shroff had just a few things to talk about on the couch! The father-son duo appeared on the show for the first time but the episode didn’t pan out as expected of them. Jackie da was all over the place as he spoke about just four people throughout the show. Yes, as we’ve mentioned above, his talks consisted of Madhuri, Ranbir, Tiger and himself. On the other hand, the Baaghi actor was a Mr Goody Goody, talking about his daily schedules, how dedicated and serious he is about his work and more. We wouldn’t say it was one of the best episodes but it wasn’t one of the worst as well. For this, there are two things to be blamed, one would be the number of video messages recorded for Jackie and two, the preaching that took place for Tiger. Had there been more conversing between Karan Johar and his guests and less of those video messages, the episode would’ve been more fun.
The episode started on a good note with Jackie being his funniest as he kept entertaining with his energy and talks. However, it seemed to fall as the episode went by. Perhaps even he got bored of all the videos that were shown to him by the host, KJo. There were a few interesting questions asked such as what Tiger would do when swapped lives with Ranveer Singh for a day or how he is poles apart from his father, but there weren’t many cool replies that the actors gave. Why yes, Tiger continued keeping his calm and cool composure, Jackie’s mischievous wild demeanour was quite refreshing. We definitely enjoyed how the show started. Maybe with the innumerable amount of videos made the show slightly dull.
Rapid fire rounds, which are usually supposed to be the highlight of the show, had some fun and dull moments too. Jackie was literally obsessed with his son and the minute he was told not to use Tiger’s name, the next best option was to take Ranbir Kapoor’s name, Madhuri Dixit Nene’s name and his own name! Yes, that’s how the rapid fire of Jackie went by. Tiger, on the other hand, kept his answers very cool and safe. The hamper went to Jackie Shroff (like, duh!). But before all the exchange happened, Karan went on a speech mode as he kept lauding his father and how there are a lot of things to learn from him. It was sweet but soon the whole episode became a classes session for Tiger on How to Become Like Your Dad. Yes, Jackie is a phenomenal person and very inspiring as well but perhaps these kind of talks weren’t really needed on the show.
