Prabhas has BEATEN Salman Khan and Aamir Khan once again – read the full box office report here…

After breaking several records at the box office, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati‘s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has achieved yet another feat today. On day 5, the movie netted Rs 30 crore through the Hindi version, making Baahubali 2 the highest first Tuesday grosser ever. In fact, Prabhas’ film crushed the record held by Aamir Khan‘s Dangal (Rs 23.07 crore on a non-holiday Tuesday) and Salman Khan‘s Kick (Rs 29 crore on Tuesday with a holiday) to achieve this feat. But the most important part to note is that even though Baahubali 2 is a film dubbed in Hindi, it defeated two true blue Bollywood films featuring huge superstars. While the movie was originally made in Telugu, it is the Hindi version that has been performing consistently at the box office.

The Telugu version of Baahubali 2 has been witnessing constant dips ever since the first weekend ended. However, the Hindi version has been able to maintain a good hold till now. And while the Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam version has raked in a cumulative collection of Rs 241.75 crore, it is the Hindi version which has collected Rs 198.25 crore by itself at the box office in just five days. This has given the makers a colossal amount of Rs 440 crore in their kitty over five days

With the film sustaining so well even in the first week, we expect Baahubali 2 to spread its wings and soar higher. It has already broken in excess of 30 records at the box office, but it is expected to break quite a few more. In its lifetime run, we expect the movie to rake in Rs 600-700 crore at the domestic box office. But will it be able to sustain even after the first Friday?
