Salman Khan’s Tubelight teaser manages to impress with its simplicity and message of love despite a Bajrangi Bhaijaan hangover

Teaser of Salman Khan’s Tubelight is out!

The first teaser of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Tubelight was released today. And we have to say that it is magical. The wait for the movie is now going to be tougher. If the teaser has impressed us so much, we wonder what the trailer will do!

The duration of Tubelight teaser is 1 minute 40 seconds, and Salman makes an entry at 00:56 seconds. While we are used to seeing Salman playing the tough guy in most of his films, it is a refreshing change to see him as a cute simpleton in this one. His childlike innocence and unassuming ways will keep you charmed throughout the teaser. It will be, without a doubt, one of his best performances. While the teaser doesn’t reveal much about the story, we know that it is a heartwarming tale of love and loss. The backdrop of the Indo-China war also provides character to the teaser. Kabir Khan, the director of the film, is sure to take us on a roller coaster ride of emotions through the course of the movie.

Remember the naive, adorable Salman in Bajrangi Bhaijaan? Well, his Tubelight character is 10 times more adorable than that. Horrifying scenes of Indo China war open the trailer, but the focus soon shifts to Salman. We know that his charcater is loved by everyone around him. When he leaves on a bus, the entire town seems to have come for see him off. But the most magical part of the teaser comes near the end. We see Salman try and move a mountain with telekinesis. Indeed, the mountain begins to shake up, as the voiceover tells us the importance of faith and belief. What does that mean? Salman has superpowers? We are so curious about the trailer now.

Tubelight also stars Sohail Khan, popular Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, Matin Rey Tangu in key roles alongside Salman. Shah Rukh Khan appears in the cameo. A glimpse of him is there in the teaser. If you found Matin cute in the teaser posters, then you will certainly be impressed by him in the teaser. Bollywood rarely gets the casting of child actors right but Matin seems to have been the right choice. Sohail too makes a brief appearance in the teaser, and we know that he is a soldier at war. Zhu Zhu looks very pretty, and a very brief shot tells us that she has been made to dance like a Bollywood diva.

Kabir had said Salman got kids from his residential building, Galaxy Apartments, to record a special voice-over for the teaser. Probably the kids chanting “Jal Ja. Jal Ja” is what Kabir was talking about.

All in all, Tubelight is as close to perfection as it gets. Now, we are eagerly waiting for the trailer to be unveiled.
