5 of the best songs of the week
Whoa! What a week this has been. Quite a few musical melodies have been released. All are as good as the other. We have to give Bollywood a round of applause for beginning the new year with a band so loud! So without wasting time, let’s move on to the best music from the week.
Mon Amour (Kaabil)
The song composed by Rajesh Roshan was launched at a grand event. The song features Yami Gautam and Hrithik Roshan, who play visually impaired characters in the film, dance to the groovy beats. Vishal Dadlani provides his powerful vocals to make the song energetic. Both Hrithik and Yami have danced their hearts out to perfection in the music video.
We get the first glimpse at Mahira Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s romance in this song from Raees. Zaalima is the second song from Raees to be released, after Laila Main Laila. While Sunny Leone’s Laila was an out and out dance number, Zaalima is dripping with romance. Arijit Singh & Harshdeep Kaur’s voice fit the bill perfectly.
Go Paagal (Jolly LLB 2)
Akshay Kumar does a favour and plays Holi again. Geddit? Sorry! The first song from Jolly LLB 2 is out and it is every bit zany as it gets. A near perfect Holi dance number crooned by Manj Musik. Huma Qureshi also features in this number.
Enna Sona (Ok Jaanu)
This melody of this song lies in its simplicity. Just guitar, bass and flutes, back Arijit Singh’s soulful voice and that is enough to give us one of the best romantic tracks of the year. Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor’s chemistry gives your butterflies in the stomach. Gulzar sahab’s lyrics are pure class!
Haseeno Ka Deewana (Kaabil)
Urvashi Rautela stams up this dance number. Raftaar and Payal Dev’s energetic voices go in sync with the choreography of the song. Gourov and Roshin recreate the hit Amitabh Bachchan, and turn it into an out and out dance number for the gen next. The song will sure be played in clubs throughout the coming year.
Come back next week for our pick of the best songs.
